I. Process Introduction:
In China, the existing borax pentahydrate production processes include heavy crystallization process taking borax decahydrate as raw material and high temperature dehydrating process taking borax decahydrate as raw material. The former has relatively high production cost, and the latter has not only high production cost, but also difficultly controlled process conditions and relatively poor product quality. Compared with imported products, both of them lack competitiveness, this is also the key factor that restrains the industrial development of Chinese borax pentahydrate.
This process takes borax ore or szaibelyite ore, and ulexite ore as raw material, and achieve borax solution through submerged dissolution or alkaline hydrolysis and filtration. Deliver the borax solution with adjusted concentration to special crystallization system and crystallize under certain conditions. Achieve finished product of borax pentahydrate through separation, washing and drying.
II. Technical Advancement:
Proprietary technology. This process does not need evaporation and heavy crystallization, which uses boron ore to directly prepare borax pentahydrate, overcoming the disadvantages of heavy crystallization process and high temperature dehydrating process, realizing single-step method preparation of borax pentahydrate, having low energy consumption, low cost, high quality and other advantages, and meeting the advanced international level in quality and cost control.
III. Market Prospect:
Chinese total annual demand of borax pentahydrate is above 350,000t, and the demand has increased year by year. Domestic borax pentahydrate production capacity is almost zero, the import volume from Turkey reaches 260,000t every year, so the market demand potential is tremendous, and the prospect is broad. IV. Technical Sources:
Autonomous research and development, and industrialization has been realized.
V. Investment Scale:
10,000t/a is 3.5 million Yuan, and the scale can be determined according to the actual situation.
VI. Environmental Protection:
Comprehensive utilization of boric sludge does not discharge waste residue, effluent or exhaust gas.

VIII. Economic Benefits:
Use borax ore as raw material to produce borax pentahydrate, and establish factory in the place except Tibet. Cost of products/t is 2,900-3,300 Yuan and profit 950-1,350 Yuan/t, so it is very lucrative.
